A Ag-Co-Ni-Au-Cu-Zn-As mine located in sec. 14 and in the SE¼ sec. 23, T9S, R31E (MDM), 0.2 km (0.2 mile) E of Chocolate Peak (coordinates of record), on the South Fork Bishop Creek, 500 feet E of Long Lake, on National Forest wilderness land (John Muir Wilderness). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.
Mineralization is hosted in metamorphic rocks. Local rocks include Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 3 (Sierra Nevada, Death Valley area, Northern Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges).
