Phillips Mine
Granite pegmatite.
Note to the minerallist: Morrill (1959), p 29 reports (erronously ?) a find of amethyst (1956.
This locality consists of a large cut, 50 feet deep by 50 wide, and about 100 feet long. There are numerous prospect pits scattered around this locality, as well as large 30+ foot tall dump piles. Many of which have yielded Apatite crystals in excess of 3 inches. Signs of radioactive and Li minerals are present. Exploration will begin in the 2016 season.
