Copper mineralization in a greenish pelitic level in sandstones, at the base of Trias formations.
Located 10 meters after the last hairpin curve of Saint-Roch chapel road.
"Northwest of Nice on the N202 [currently the D6202] and the N205 [currently the M2205]. South of the locality [Saint-Sauveur-sur-Tinée] close to a chapel dedicated to Saint-Roch there is chalcopyrite, goethite, malachite, and quartz. Northeast of the same chapel, close to the remains of buildings, on the right bank of the Rocialla, there is chalcopyrite, goethite, pyrite, and quartz." [Belot, 1978]
