Miniera di Rialbano (Miniera di Rio Albano), Rio Marina, Isola d'Elba, Livorno, Toscana, Italia
The second important of the Rio Marina mines, from Monte Calendozio at the north to Rialbano torrent at the south (km. 1.3) with a width of 800 meters.
The ore body is hematite with a pyrite bed and limonite on the surface; in some areas, there is magnetite above the hematite.
The main stopes are Monte Calendozio (the largest), Pistello (the most important), Puppaio and Venezia; others stopes are Giuncaia, Grattarino, Roma, Fornacelle and Cala Seregola.
In a low part of the Venezia stope, there are dumps of Le Fornacelle Mine; here limonite stones with azurite and malachite crystals were found in 1972.
