Old abandoned quarry. This is the typelocality of Søvite. Swarms of søvite veins in fenite may be seen in the roadcut along Grønvoldsvegen.

The remnants of the quarry, especially the quarry wall and the roadcut towards the Grønvoldsvegen is protected since 27.nov. 1998 as a geological nature reserve. No collecting is allowed.
