Andalshatten molybdenforekomst, Vevelstad, Nordland, Norge
An unusual, molybdenite-rich pegmatite with quartz, albite and dolomite as the major minerals. Molybdenite was mined in 1936 from a 8x0,35 m wide trench.
The molybdenum mineralization is found in a 5-10 cm zone.
The coordinates are a rough estimate, as the literature only mentions that the locality is located 1 km NW of the Andalshatten summit. The LiDAR map is of no help either.
