A Cu prospect with underground workings located in sec. 11, T10S, R18W, about 1¾ miles SE of the Poorman prospect, on federal land.
Mineralization is rather sheared & schistose gneiss that dips generally eastward. A prominent quartz vein up to 15 feet thick near aplitic dikes, with irregular strike and dip, cuts across a small saddle. Vein quartz is white, somewhat fractured & marked by iron oxide bands. Vein walls show abundant sericite, minor chlorite and sparse copper stain. The mineralization is hosted in Precambrian gneiss that was re-metamorphosed in the Mesozoic.
The property has been developed by several short tunnels. No production record.
