One of several emerald mines in the southern zone of the Mananjary emerald mining district (Cheilletz et al. 2001).
The mines of the south zone are mainly located in the Andonabe Commune, south of Irondo and the RN25 road, south and east of the Analatsitevena mountain.
Erronously spelled as "Ambadamanino" in Schwartz (1994).
Listed in Schwartz (1994, cited from Thomas 1993) as being one of the emerald mines in the area around the Morafeno emerald mine. = the south zone of the Mananjary emerald district.
The emerald mineralisation occurs within phlogopitite developed at the contact between pegmatite and basic/ultrabasic rocks, characterised by pegmatites intruding highly folded and boudinaged amphibolites.
