A former underground Au-Ag-Cu-Zn-As-Pb mine located about 1 mile South of the Henrietta Mine. Owned by the Big Ledge Copper Co. Produced 1902-1946.
Mineralization is hosted in a silvery-white sericite schist. The beds strike N.50ºE. and dip 70ºSW. Ore minerals occur in lenticular streaks with quartz mosaic & chlorite. Ore control was stratigraphy. Concentration was oxidation at near surface. Alteration was chloritization and sericitization.
Workings include an inclined shaft at 425 feet deep. The lowest level extends about 600 feet North & South of the shaft. Produced $225,000 in gold during the early part of the 20th. century (period values).
