The Nagar Parkar area of SE Sindh covers 500 km2 along the Great Rann of Kutch and the Thar Desert in Pakistan. It comprises mounds and hills of granites in a plain covered by sand, silt and salt. The granites are emplaced in a suite of metamorphosed mafic to felsic rocks and are cut by younger mafic and felsic dykes, collectively referred to as the Nagar Parkar Igneous Complex
