Rognosa d'Etiache or Rognosa d'Etache is a mountain forming a NE-SW–oriented jagged ridge with two main summits: the North-East Peak (3.376 m) and the South-West Peak (3.382 m). Torre Maria Celeste (3.342 m) is located along the ridge in the SW direction.
Quartz crystals are abundant in the Rognosa d'Etiache rocks consisting of alternating sericite schists and conglomeratic quartzites. The grey-greenish sericite schists are mainly composed of sericite and quartz, with accessory detrital tourmaline and zircon. Massive conglomeratic quartzites, weathering to a buff colour but pale green when fresh, mainly consists of quartz, with subordinate white mica and rare K feldspar and albite individuals; ziron is an abundant accessory mineral. Millimeter- to centimeter-sized vitreous clasts of rose quartz are sporadically present.
