The NGU describes this locality to be a group of 4-5 quarries orientated in a NW-SE direction. The quarries are ca. 5-6 m wide, probably reflecting the width of the pegmatites dykes, which can be followed over a length of 70-80 m.
The coarse-grained pegmatites (1-30 cm) are emplaced in mica schist, and are dominated by potassium feldspar. These pegmatites are relatively rich in minerals (1-10%).
The NGU coordinates (66.7287150,13.4412358) are somewhat off, while located in the fjord. However, careful study of the LiDAR map and an aerial picture of 2013 at kart.1881.no suggest the presence of a shallow pit in the right NW-SE orientation at the given coordinates.
