At a time when Silesia belonged to Germany, it was a well-known location for epidote and stilbite. Today the name 'Pangelberg' has no Polish equivalent. In the 1986 book 'Minerals of the Lower Silesia', authors providing locality Mount Starzec (also Starogórze) 343m, north-east from city of Niemcza (Germ. Nimptsch). This interpretation is wrong, because all German maps from different periods of time, clearly shows the name Alte Berg (= Starzec in translation into Polish), instead of Pangelberg.

Pangelberg is a hill 245.8 m east of the center of Niemcza, right before Stasin - Gut Pangel.
Detailed geological map of Poland 1: 25,000 sheet Niemcza, shows the occurrence of hornblende gneisses in the top parts of the hill in Stasin = Gut Pangel. Such a description is given by O. Tietze (1916): hornblende gneisses cut by epidote veins with cavities filled with crystals of epidote, quartz and zeolites.
