Structure: Major North-Striking Fault Zone Between The Black Range To The West And A Well-Defined Graben Valley To The East Occurs Along The General Trend Of Mineralization.
Deposit: Deposits occur in a vein reported to reach a maximum width of 40 ft. High-grade seams and quartz veinlets range from 12 in. To 20 in. Wide and one ore shoot was reported to have been 140 ft. In length. One patented claim mineral survey number 719 covering 13.71 acres. District was steady producer through 1952. ; info.src : 1 pub lit
Development: Quartz veins discovered 1864, mills built 1865. Steady production thru 1952. Chromite discovered around 1930, Fe deposits examined 1940's-1950's.
