A small adit worked on a 2 m wide hydrothermal quartz vein for Zn, Cu and Pb. About 15 m inside the adit a crisscrossing baryte vein (10-20 cm thick) was discovered under the mining period. The vein was so rich that the mine worked for a short period on barite.
The Styggedalsgangen adit is located about 0.5 km south of Herre.
The locality was known for producing nice baryte specimen, among them up to 10-15 cm elongated honey-colored single crystals.
