The dump of mine 'Piast' in addition to the Carboniferous coal series, contains igneous rocks, gained occasionally during mining works. In most cases, they were heavily weathered gabbros, very rare still fresh gabbro, relatively frequent the 'gabbro pegmatites'; with crystals of plagioclases and pyroxenes reaching up to 20 cm and no diabases at all. Among the secondary mineralization, prevailed typical veins extending from Carboniferous series into the older rocks. The most common dolomite-ankerite, dickite as 'pholerite' with sulfides, gypsum (rare selenite), anhydrite, calcite, quartz, chrysotile, prehnite and very rarely stilbite.
