A former mine.
Between 1939 to 1951 the site produced 20.25 kg of gold. Mined again in 1984 on three quartz veins, dipping 25 degrees north-east. This was cross cut by chloritic siltstone and mudstone. This activity is said to have recovered only a small amount of gold. Gold was more extensive within nearby country rock than the veins, where the veins cut two fractures, the mudstone and siltstone in this area strongly bleached.
Numerous cubic goethite after pyrite pseudomorphs have been reported from the site.
