The Emu prospect is approximately 5 kilometres south of the Cock-Eyed Bob mine, and 15 kilometres south-east of the Randalls processing plant.
The gold is hosted by a banded iron formation, under overlying cover. It is a continuation of the banded iron formation units found in the Cock-Eyed Bob, Rumbles, Maxwells and Santa mines.
Integra Mining Ltd drilled 38 holes into the prospect across 2004 to 2005, although it was only shallow drilling to 10 metres.
Coordinates are approximate.
