Locality type:
An island located in the nothern part of the South Yellow Sea, ca. 80 km east of Qingdao. Eclogites and two-mica epidote-plagioclase gneiss within granitic gneisses. Eclogites underwent retrograde transformation during exhumation, down to the greenschist facies conditions.
May be a link between similar rocks at Dabie and Sulu, Qinlin, China, and the Hongseong complex of South Korea.
