Agnes Venture North Gold Mine
The Agnes Venture Reef was north north-east striking, and could be traced for 750 metres east of the northern end of the Mount Barker Reef. The Agnes Venture crossed the Mount Barker Reef at the Mount Barker Reward mine, and extended to the east side of the Valkyrie mine. The reef had a westerly dip. It was accompanied by graphitic schist and occasional Fe formations, and some sections were banded.
The Agnes Venture North Gold Mine is strangely listed in the source as at the south end of the reef. GML 781. It was held in the late 1890's by English company, Norseman Limited. The lease was voided in July 1900.
