The East Repulse lode is accessed via the underground Victory Mine. It is often referred to as the East Repulse Mine, indicating a separate operation to the Victory Mine.

Gold is strongly controlled by the Repulse Fault (U32 Surface), dipping 10 degrees east. The lithology is the Tripod Hill Komatiite as talc-magnesite, carbonate rich, and well mineralised, with numerous foliation shear discontinuities. To the east is Devon Consols Basalt, centre magnetite-chert rich Kapai Slate, and to the west zone 1 Defiance Dolerite.

The deposit is vertically zoned and consists of 4 main alteration zones:
1. Lower domain of albite-carbonate-quartz-pyrite-epidote and biotite-anhydrite-quartz-carbonate.
2. Ore domain with albite-carbonate-quartz-pyrite, and biotite-pyrite-quartz alteration
3. Transit domain of amphibolite-feldspar, and biotite-amphibole alteration.
4. Upper domain with quartz-clinozoisite veins, and biotite- K.Feldspar-calcite-pyrite. Also chlorite and pyrrhotite alteration is found in parts.

The Repulse Fault contains high grade gold, and thickens where swarms of sub-vertical felsic porphyries intersect the footwall contact of the shear, with extreme pyrite alteration. Gold is found as inclusions within the pyrite, associated with biotite alteration.

The Footwall rocks occur as discrete sub horizontal to 45 degrees dipping east, rafts in a shear complex, with thrust repetition of stratigraphy controlled thick high grade intersections to 50 metres at 10 g/t. Intersections are also found in extensional quartz vein arrays, containing massive pyrite and pyrrhotite, with free gold within and at the margins of the quartz veins.

The Footwall is rich with oxidised sulfates of anhydrite, celestine and/or barite. The core is sulphide rich with pyrite-magnetite with minor barite and celestine. The Hanging Wall has a relatively reduced sulphate component of pyrite-pyrrhotite, and minor pentlandite, millerite, and cobaltite.
