Gypsum horizon cropping out to the east of Punta di Rims, above Baitello di Cögno, on the right side of Braulio valley.

Large gypsum lens near the tectonic contact with orthogneiss, cropping out to the south of Punta di Rims.

The specimen of halite, recorded as "salt rock from Braulio Valley" and part of the mineral and fossil collection gifted by dr. Cesare Sertoli in 1835 to the Major Primary School (Scuola elementare maggiore) of Sondrio, was probably recovered from one of the outrcops of Punta di Rims.

Layers of lamellar hematite occur in orthogneiss at above 2550 m, above the locality known as Piano della 3a Cantoniera or Terza Cantoniera ai Piani di Braulio. This occurrence may match the hematite deposit in the Bormio territory reported by Masserotti (1861).
