Outcrops of granitic and pegmatitic bodies.
It is part of a block of the crystalline basement of the Sierra de Quilmes, which extends from South to North and is characterized by being shaped mainly by injected phyllites, varying both its lithological nature and the density of the injection. There are also bodies of character pegmatitic and veins siliceous, as the same bodies of granitic nature, that usually penetrate accordingly with the schistosity of the phyllite. Magma injections are sometimes lenticular bodies, reaching in some cases produce a textural gneissic character in the phyllite. The structure of the region is characterized by the presence of a main fault that separates the mountains of the Valley itself, with the presence of minor parallel faults, and some cross-cutting, which usually take advantage of major watercourses.
