ⓘ Formula: ◻Ca2Mg5(Si8O22)(OH)2 Description: In Dana, I. F. (1820). Localities of Minerals (American Journal of Science 2:241), tremolite is reported from the town of Chester. At the time of this report in 1820, the tremolite locality at Devil's Den was within the town of Chester, but in 1845 the area became the new town of Auburn. The report itself was not erroneous, but the town boundaries changed. |
