PP1 pilot drill hole of the Chinese Continental Scientific Drilling (CCSD) project.

The hole was driven to a depth of 432.08 m and cuts through a 115 m thick layer of gneiss-hosted ultrahigh-pressure (UHP) peridotites composed of abundant lherzolite, harzburgite and minor wehrlite and dunite. Near the gneiss contact, the peridotites are strongly serpentinized.
