A W-Mo group of claims/prospect located in secs. 14 & 23, T3S, R31E, MDM, 5.2 km (3.3 miles) ESE of Banner Ridge (coordinates of record), adjoining the Black Rock Mine on the SE, on National Forest land. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 100 meters.
Scheelite and molybdenite occur in a garnet and epidote gangue along a contact of granite and limestone. The ore body strikes N30E and dips about 55NW. The outcrop may be traced for about 1,000 feet. Width of the deposit is not determined. Local rocks include Paleozoic marine rocks, undivided, unit 3 (Eastern Sierra Nevada) and/or Plio-Pleistocene and Pliocene loosely consolidated deposits.
Workings include surface and underground openings.
Workings include surface openings and operations plus underground openings comprised of a 60 foot adit, 2 small open cuts, several shallow pits, and bulldozer scrapings.
production information: Idle except for assessment work.
