Porphyritic muscovite-albite-microcline granite intruded into quartz diorite and meta-conglomerate. The highly fractionated granite is marginally peraluminous; its contact is marked by aplite, greisenized and albitized rocks, and by a quartz pegmatite cap which extends into the overlying country rocks. Disseminated Ta and REE mineralizations are mainly confined to the altered roof of the intrusion. Ixiolite, betafite, monazite, bastnäsite, and fluorite were also identified in nearby wadi sediments.
