Formerly: Frontenac mine, East Broughton, Mégantic Co., Québec, Canada
The Frontenac and Fraser Mines are on the two sides of Rang 7 about 1 mile from rt 122, East Broughton. They are part of the Pennington fold of ophiolite, north east of the Thetford mine ophiolites.
Minerals: Chrysotile, Serpentine, Magnesite, Magnetite, Albite, Quartz
Frontenac Mine
Began in 1892 for talc/ steatite. And later asbestos.
Is partly covered covered today with the asbestos residue and tailings.
North side 7e rang just across from Fraser Mine about 1 mile from 112 East Broughton
Together the two deposits are 900m and 15m to 60m wide
