"North of Compreignac on the D5 and the D28. Same minerals as at Compreignac [https://www.mindat.org/loc-25349.html]." [Belot, 1978]
The name Vénachat covers a small pegmatite field with several small granite pegmatite dikes. These are known for specimens of crystallized smoky quartz, microcline, apatite, bertrandite, beryls etc. Traces of workings from the 19th century can be found, beside an open-pit worked for uranium by COGEMA in 1982-1987. Located 1 km NNW of Vénachat and around 3 km SW of Razès.
