This locality has been given for specimens of Prehnite and Manganbabingtonite and, more recently, also for specimens of chalcopyrite.
Notes:
(1) The identification of manganbabingtonite needs substantiation as the mineral is not from a known manganese-rich source. According to Zhang et al. (2008), babingtonites from the Meigu area only contain small amounts of manganese.
(2) The Emeishan basalts, which are the host rocks of the babingtonite-prehnite mineralizations, are known to also host several small copper deposits, but these are located mainly in northern Yunnan Province and contain native copper as the main ore mineral. The occurrence of large, well-formed chalcopyrite crystals in this environment appears doubtful.
