The Grout quarry is on the south side of Kirby Mountain in Kirby, 2 1/2 to 3 miles N. 20° W. of North Concord and about 450 feet above the station there.
The quarry, opened about 1899, consists of two openings, the upper one 40 by 25 feet and 10 feet deep; the lower one 70 feet square and 3 to 5 feet deep.
