This underground mine was started in 1930 and operated until 1986. This mine employed the block and cave method until 1954, then used the room and pillar method until 1986, and included 8 miles (ca. 13 km) of drifts and 5 miles (ca. 8 km) of raises. The underground workings are now filled with water and inaccessible.

Mineralization is hosted in the Chino Limestone.
