Outcrops of Tertiary marls ("Heiligenhafener Gestein") with included septarian nodules and gravel-rich glacial drift on the cliff west of Heiligenhafen. The gray-green marl has been pushed up into the overlying drift by glaciers during the ice age and is only exposed at a few spots, most of the cliff is made of glacial drift. On the entire beach: glacial erratics and flint.
Located about 20 km NE of Oldenburg.
