About 40 years ago, I started collecting minerals and fossils because of some specimens of Trepca that were given to me as a gift.
This started my interest and I studied at evening school, read a lot of literature, became a member of a mineral
association called VFMG and got in contact with other collectors.

My main interest lies in regional minerals as I gave up collecting fossils for space reasons.
In over 40 years, more or less regularly, I searched in various quarries, dumps and mines for minerals.
I still do regular excursions with enthusiasm.

My present collection consists however not only of regional minerals.
I also collect aesthetic, beautiful and interesting mineral specimens from all over the world.
In addition to that I possess an extensive Baryte collection, a mineral collection from the Ruhr mining industry as well as an alpine mineral collection which I gathered during numerous alpine excursions.
