Formula:
GdFe2+AlSiO6
One of few Gd-dominant species from the Moon. Chemically seems to be the GdFe2+-analogue of kushiroite and esseneite (members of the clinopyroxene subgroup). Could also represent the GdAl-analogue of hedenbergite.
Co-described with UM2004-18-O:AlCaGdThTiZr, UM2004-19-O:AlCeGdZr, UM2004-20-O:AlGdLaThTiZr, UM2004-21-O:CaFeGdZr, UM2004-28-O:GdTiZr, UM2004-27-O:GdTi, and UM2004-28-O:GdTiZr.
Analyses of these minerals come from six particles of lunar regolith; each particle is 500 nm to 5 μm in size.
