Straigraphic CommentsSTRATIGRAPHIC RELATIONS: From the Paracas Fm, which regionally, unconformably, overlies crystaline bedrock and us unconformably overlain by the Otuma Fm (latest Eocene to Early Oligocene). AGE: Late Eocene in text, on the basis of K/Ar dates, siliceous microfossil zonation, and molluscan biostratigraphy. STRATIGRAPHIC POSITION: From unknown position within formation.
Lithology DescriptionSPECIFIC LITHOLOGY: Fine-grained sandstone and thin indurated intercalations of medium-grained sandstone. LITHIFICATION: Lithified, on the basis of facies description.
