Formula:
PdO · 3H2O
Probably formed by replacement of a Pd-bearing precursor mineral rather than a precipitation from a fluid.
One of many Pd-O compounds, most of which are however unnamed. Compare palladinite.
Co-described with UM1999-18-OH:Pd. Also associates with sperrylite, isomertieite, and michenerite.
Electron microprobe data, wt.% (for the two unnamed species):
Pd 67.85, 50.42
Pt 0.78, 0.00
Fe 1.36, 2.23
Ni 1.60, 1.51
Cu 4.84, 2.83
Bi 1.41, 0.89
S 0.13, 0.06
O 23.29, 40.02
total 101.26, 97.96
