French synonym of:
Dana (1868) lists cyclopeite (from “Descl. Min. 65 1862”) as a synonym of Breislakite, which he described as a pyroxene, though it’s now considered a fibrous variety of vonsenite .
Chester (1896) refers to Des Cloizeaux (1862) as the "source" of this mineral name.
However, Armand Dufrénoy already mentioned cyclopéite in 1859 in his book Traité de minéralogie, Volume 4, on page 662, as a synonym of diopside.
So far I have not been able to find the original (=first) French description of cyclopéite (Pelckmans, 2022).
