Name:
Named in honor of Vladimir Ivanovich Vlodavets (Владимир Иванович Влодавец) (1893, Russian Empire (now Poland) - 1993, Moscow, Russia), volcanologist who founded the Kamchatka volcanological station. Also director of the Institute of Volcanology, Moscow.
