Name:
Named in honor of Richard Bøgvad (21 November 1897, Frederiksberg, Denmark - 7 August 1952, Ivigtut, Greenland), formerly Chief Geologist for the company Oresund A/S, which mined the Ivigtut cryolite deposit.
