Named after Antonio D'Achiardi (1839–1902), Professor of Mineralogy, Universitá di Pisa, Italy, who first described the mineral discovered by his son in a granitic pegmatite. Renamed in 1997 as Dachiardite-Ca by IMA.
The calcium-dominant member of the Dachiardite minerals of the Zeolite Group.
