About Graftonite Group
A group of phospates established by IMA in 2017. The graftonite group is defined by having three distinct sites that are occupied by Fe2+, Mn2+ and Ca2+. These sites have coordination numbers [8], [5] and [6], and these differences lead to very strong order of Fe2+, Mn2+ and Ca2+ over these sites
If the M2,M3Fe2+ > M2,M3Mn2+ then the rootname graftonite is used; the opposite situation favors beusite rootname.
If the M2,M3Fe2+ > M2,M3Mn2+ then the rootname graftonite is used; the opposite situation favors beusite rootname.
