A synonym of Gaildunningite
Very rare species, discovered in the 1960s (J.L. Parnau); later found in a quartz rock nearby the type "locality" (site) of edoylerite. Usually associated with CCUK-18, but formed later. Forms (1) terminated, acicular, radiating crystals, or (2) fine-acicular crystals.
An XRD study suggests the structure to be very complex.
Clear Creek Unknown #10, Hg-N-I-(Cl,Br), was finally described and IMA approved in 2018 as gaildunningite.
