Ferrorhodonite forms granular aggregates composed by thick tabular to short prismatic crystals, with rounded edges,up to 2 cm across

The type specimens (fragments of the holotype) are deposited in the collection of type specimens (Typmineralsammlung), Mineralogisches Museum Hamburg, catalogue number MMHH-004704, and in the collections of the Fersman Mineralogical Museum of the Russia
