Named according to the recommended pyrochlore supergroup nomenclature (Atencio et al. 2010), indicating dominant elements and its relation to other microlite group minerals.
Chemically comparable to irtyshite and natrotantite. Strongly metamict.

Associated minerals include a hydrated derivative of oxynatromicrolite and a red tourmaline-group species.
