Name:
Named in 1972 by Zdeněk Johan and Paul Picot in honor of Eugen Friedrich Stumpfl (27 November 1931, Munich, Germany - 12 July 2004, Innsbruck, Austria), professor of mineralogy, Mining Institute, Leoben (Austria) and authority on ore microscopy. The mineral eugenite is also named after him.
The possible Bi analogue is coded as 'UM1974-02-Bi:AsPdPtSb', while the Rh one as 'UM1979-19-Sb:Rh'.
