Named in honor of Faiziev Abdulkhak Radzhabovitch (born 1938) of Dushanbe, Tadjikistan, professor and member-correspondent of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tadjikistan.
Related to the Beryl Group and Osumilite Group minerals. Unique combination of elements, but also a chemical similarity to baratovite and katayamalite.
