Name:
Named in honor of Juan Augusto Olsacher (1903 - 1964), Argentine mineralogist, professor and chair of mineralogy at the University of Córdoba. An expert on selenium minerals in Argentina, he discovered and described achavalite and schmiederite.
An alteration product of penroseite.
Closely related to molybdomenite.
