About Nordite-(La)Hide

Originally named nordite for the northern latitudes, where the mineral was discovered. The suffix was added by Levinson in 1966 to denote the dominant rare earth element.
The zinc analogue of Ferronordite-(La). The lanthanum analogue of Nordite-(Ce).
