A former Pb-Ag-Zn-Cu-W mine located in sec. 18, T19S, R41E, MDM, 2.3 km (1.5 miles) NE of Darwin, on private (patented) land. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 100 meters.

Mineralization is a vein deposit, with a vein 1 to 4 feet thick, hosted in skarn (tactite). The vein extends over a length of 80 feet on the 66 foot level. Another (?) vein in the 35 foot deep shaft is 3 feet thick on surface and thins to 1 foot at the bottom of the shaft. Rocks in the mine area are brown-stained dense calc-hornfels and bluish-gray limestone in part altered to tactite. The beds strike N20W and dip 78W. Local rocks include Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 3 (Sierra Nevada, Death Valley area, Northern Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges) and/or Quaternary alluvium and marine deposits.

Workings include underground openings with an overall depth of 42.67 meters, and comprised of an inclined shaft 140 feet deep plus 150 feet of drifts. Another inclined shaft strikes N63E and dips 77SE, at 35 feet deep with a short drift at the bottom is 600 feet N15W of the main shaft. The main shaft is on the bedding plane. A drift was driven on the vein (1 to 2 feet thick). North of the shaft a chimney of ore has been stoped.

No production records. 20 tons of ore were mined in 1950 and assayed at 21% Pb and 17 ounces Ag/ton.
